The name 'Néprica' is an acronym for three grape varieties (Negroamaro, Primitivo and Cabernet Sauvignon). Nearly 25 years ago, Tormaresca began its journey with this wine. Since then, the three varieties have no longer been blended but are produced separately as standalone wines. Undoubtably, it is Primitivo that has had the most remarkable journey with its honest and pure character. The hand-harvested and destemmed grapes were fermented in tanks, then aged in the same vessels until the next harvest. This Primitivo is a textbook example of a briefly aged, 'unoaked' style, packed with all the aromas and flavours that make this variety so highly sought-after: red fruit, black cherry, liquorice and a soft, long-lasting finish.
