For the cornerstone of Antinori’s Puglia estate, the Primitivo grapes were harvested slightly overripe to achieve a more concentrated, denser character. It was fermented in tank, then aged for about 18 months in Hungarian and French oak barrels before being bottled. An easy-to-understand, approachable wine with great drive and liveliness. Ripe plum, dark chocolate and tobacco dominate the endlessly round and silky palate.
