The first vintage was made in 1931 by Nicoló Antinori – the label and the style have been unchanged ever since then, and it’s one of the most popular wines of the estate. The Pinot Grigio-based blend that also includes Pinot Blanc, Trebbiano and Riesling was vinified in tanks. Fresh aromas of pineapple, banana, white flowers and ripe citrus fruit, with the same notes on the palate, along with dynamic acidity and a long finish.
The family’s wine history spans 26 generation since 1385, with novelties that defined the wine world, a network of estates on 1,000 hectares in Tuscany and Umbria, wine, brandy, grappa and olive oil. Books could be filled with the family’s history, and today they are one of Italy’s largest wine enterprises.
