Villa del Cigliano, located on the rolling hills of San Casciano Val di Pesa in the Metropolitan City of Florence, has always been a symbol of strong family ties, watching over generations of the Antinori family since 1546. It is a symbol of history, identity and family continuity – marking the origins and first steps of the Antinori family's journey in viticulture and winemaking. This legacy is reflected on the label of the Antinori family's emblematic wine, Villa Antinori. Niccolò Antinori once described how the ‘Villa’ concept was born: "At the time, we needed to promote the Antinori name... which was still relatively unknown outside certain circles, so I chose the name ‘Villa Antinori’”. The first vintage debuted in 1931 and its success has remained unbroken ever since.

Villa Antinori Bianco is made from Trebbiano, Malvasia, Pinot Bianco, Pinot Grigio and Riesling, all manually-harvested from vineyards at the end of August. After a very gentle pressing, the must is transferred to stainless steel tanks, where fermentation begins at below 18°C. It then matures in tanks in order to preserve its freshness and vibrant aromas. It has a straw-yellow colour with greenish tints. Subtle and elegant aromas, with fruity notes of banana and pineapple merging with hints of white flowers. Balanced palate, with a pleasantly persistent, saline and mineral finish, complemented by elegant acidity and notes of pear and peach.

The family’s wine history spans 26 generation since 1385, with novelties that defined the wine world, a network of estates on 1,000 hectares in Tuscany and Umbria, wine, brandy, grappa and olive oil. Books could be filled with the family’s history, and today they are one of Italy’s largest wine enterprises.
