Radda, in the heart of Chianti Classico – the kind of place where Sangiovese feels entirely natural. The Riserva is a blend of 80% Sangiovese and 20% Merlot from organically-cultivated vineyards. The Sangiovese is aged in larger oak barrels, while the Merlot matures in barriques, for a total of 16 months. Here, the warmer vintage does not weigh the wine down – rather, it gives it greater depth.

Ripe cherry, darker tones, with hints of graphite, green herbs and a delicate touch of balsamic vinegar in the background. The palate is full yet taut, and the spices do not stand apart but instead meld seamlessly into the structure. A well-proportioned wine, in which the classic face of Sangiovese is clearly visible, without any unnecessary gestures.
