The Santa Cristina estate has always made the pristinely pure, lightly-tuned core wines of the Antinori selection, and this is no exception. The Vermentino grapes were harvested from Umbria's fertile vineyards, and the wine, cool fermented under reductive conditions, practically explodes in the mouth. After harvest, the grapes are gently pressed and the must is quickly chilled to preserve the natural freshness and aromatic richness. During the innoculated, slow fermentation, the varietal's vibrant citrus and white-fleshed fruit notes come to the forefront, giving the wine a lively, vibrant character. Straw-yellow colour, with a pale green tint. On the nose, intense aromas of pineapple, melon and grapefruit mingle with rose petals and fresh herbs. A true embodiment of the Tuscan landscape and Mediterranean joie de vivre.
