Pinot Noir from the north-facing, cool, clay slopes of Marlborough's southern valleys. It was partially fermented in whole bunches in open vats, followed by 11 months of ageing in French barrels. Rose petals, cherries and blackberries on the nose, while the palate is pleasantly rosehip and strawberry. Silky tannins and a fine acid structure.
One of Marlborough’s first wineries – established in 1985 – which put New Zealand on the world wine map. It harvests Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, among other varieties, from the best vineyards and rare parcels from the plantations of two emblematic wine regions – Marlborough and Central Otago.
