Cloudy Bay creates its New World classic from carefully selected grapes from more than 90 different parcels. Most of it undergoes controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks, while a smaller portion is spontaneously fermented in large oak barrels. Out of 81 tasted samples, 55 components were ultimately selected for the blend, resulting in a truly complex final wine.
On the initially restrained nose, tropical notes appear, then as it opens up, apricot, lime and orange blossom emerge. The complex, almost biteable palate reveals passion fruit, hibiscus, pink grapefruit, refreshing acidity and a mineral finish. A great experience with the potential to age for several years.

One of Marlborough’s first wineries – established in 1985 – which put New Zealand on the world wine map. It harvests Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, among other varieties, from the best vineyards and rare parcels from the plantations of two emblematic wine regions – Marlborough and Central Otago.
