Deep colour, cool character, layered aromas of blue flowers, black tea, plums and sweet spices. The palate glides smoothly, the tannins can only be felt at the very end, and even then, they’re just slightly gritty and fit into the picture.

The crop of the plot that was planted in 1983 is cold-macerated overnight after having being hand-harvested, then fermentation begins spontaneously in open vats, with 30% whole bunches, in addition to the destemmed grapes. The pressing comes after 2-3 weeks, then the fresh wine goes into French barrels (out of which 30% are new), in which it ages for 18 months. Unfined, slightly filtered at bottling.
