The grapes grown on Vega Sicilia’s 210 hectares come from 64 different parcels along the River Douro. The river and the climate create a unique terroir, reflected in the Unico wines year after year. The 2012 vintage is concentrated, juicy and silky, immediately enjoyable but becoming even more impressive over time. A blend of Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) and a bit of Cabernet Sauvignon, aged for 10 years in oak barrels and bottles. Due to their size, magnums typically age more beautifully, and this is no different for Unico 2012, which can have ageing potential of up to 60 years.
