With Corriente, Telmo Rodríguez transports us back to a time when Rioja wines were still made without external influence, from mixed plantings and in styles that varied from village to village. At the time, the word Corriente on the label referred to the honest, everyday table wine. A blend of Tempranillo, Graciano and Garnacha, coming mainly from grapes of old bush vines in the cool, rocky parts of Rioja, spontaneously fermented and aged in concrete and used barrels.

The shorter than usual ageing results in a character that differs from the mainstream: this wine is about the grape varieties, black fruits and a fine, powdery tannic texture.
