A few members of our team had the chance to visit Telmo Rodriguez's ancestral estate, Remelluri. With the fast-paced Telmo, we only had time for one wine together – a bottle of the brilliant La Estrada. This 0.64-hectare parcel, located at the highest point of the village of Lanciego at 610 metres, has limestone soils and a mixed planting from 1940 of Tempranillo and Graciano. Every vintage showcases the brighter, more vibrant side of these varietals, with a green herb and cool character unique to this site. Pure, deep and balanced flavours, making it an excellent counterpart to the spicy, Mediterranean El Velado.

A limited release with just 1,941 bottles and 24 magnums made, from one of Spain’s most celebrated winemaker. Our allocation consists of only a few cases.
