The result of the joint venture between two icons of 20th century winemaking: Robert Mondavi and Baron Philippe de Rothschild. As the joint effort of the two legends, the first vintage was realised in 1979, and the wine still brings the balance of strength, sophistication and texture every year, fused with the character of the given vintage. It has a deep, garnet colour, a rich and sweet nose of ripe berry and floral aromas, with blackberries, blackcurrants, lavender and violets. The palate is full-bodied and elegant, long-lasting, with subtle tannins, minerality, lots of black berry fruit and herbal flavours. Composition: 84% Cabernet Sauvignon; 6% Petit Verdot; 5% Cabernet Franc; 4% Merlot; 1% Malbec.
