A sophisticated, elegant and detailed Chardonnay from California, a region often known for its exuberant and intoxicatingly creamy Chardonnay style. The Sta. Rita Hills Chardonnay is a selection from the La Mesa and Wenzlau vineyards, located on steep, riverside slopes. In the Racines range, this wine most clearly expresses how a legendary Burgundian winemaker interprets the inimitable character of a faraway place. Notes of orange marmalade, marzipan, white flowers, tangerine and subtle woody tones blend harmoniously. Restrained yet complex, with a delicately creamy texture.

After hand-harvesting and careful selection, the grapes were pressed in whole bunches and underwent spontaneous fermentation. The wine was then aged for one year in barrels, 15% of which were new. Burgundian values with Californian roots.
