In the Racines selection, this wine most clearly demonstrates how a legendary Burgundian winemaker perceives the inimitable character of a distant place. An open, intense Pinot Noir character with spices, tobacco and deep red berry fruitiness.

For fermentation, 50% of the bunches were destemmed, while the remaining portion underwent spontaneous fermentation as whole bunches. It was then aged for 17 months in used and 15% new French barrels. Burgundian values, Californian roots.
